City Subs has a long tasty history and has been a staple In this beautiful thriving Brooklyn community known as Park slope for over 30 years. Since it’s original inception in 1985 then owner Mark ... created “City Sub” to offer its local residents a fresh new twist on a basic, yet delicious Gourmet Sandwich by offering the freshest ingredients prepared in a very specific way, explains new Co-Owner Thomas Moran who has had over 10 years of experience working with the original owner at the old City Sub Bergen Street location whose doors unexpectedly shuttered in 2015 as many smaller businesses closed as The Barclays Center became a dominant detraction for smaller struggling operations like City Sub.

The New “City Subs”, Salvatore Mula Co-Owner explains “thats Sub’s now plural” are the exact same recipes, made with the exact same delicous meats, cheeses, condiments and specific Bread’s full of Sesame Seeds and most importantly Love used for 30 years that Thomas learned how to master from being part of such an important Park Slope institution here in Brooklyn that I loved so much, that I had to do something explained Sal. “I’m from right around the corner all my life” he explains and “by allowing City Sub’s to still exist, we have paved the way for many small businesses to try and stick around and we have attracted many other new businesses that might have passed up the opportunity to move into Park Slope” due to City Subs staying power.

City Subs is and will always be the premier Gourmet Sandwich Shop Brooklyn has created. We caught the torch and as long as we are alive here in Brooklyn that Torch will stay lit according to Sal.
